SUMMARY:2026 Village of Middlefield Senior Trash Pick-Up
DESCRIPTION:Attention Village of Middlefield Seniors \n The Village of Middlefield has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Day \nThe Village of Middlefield is joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2026 for the Village of Middlefield Senior Trash Pick-Up Day(s)  August 13 \nPlease have items outside home or garage August 12\, the evening before the pick-up. \nSign Up Is EASY – First\, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by August 6 or earlier.  Please note\, to receive trash pick-up assistance\, you must be 60 years of age or older\, live in Middlefield Village and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026. \n\nWhat the Village of Middlefield will accept: Appliances without Freon will be collected. Small items must be bagged\, boxed\, or bundled – no LOOSE materials will be collected.  Lumber must be bundled and tied in lengths less than 6 feet\, and metal pipes shall be no longer than 6 feet\, and lawn mowers. Please note the following guidelines:   To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest)\, all mattresses\, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely or they will not be taken.   Please consolidate all small materials in strong boxes or containers.\nWhat the Village of Middlefield will NOT be accepted: construction/remodeling debris\, liquids\, paint or other hazardous materials\, rocks\, yard waste\, or household garbage. We can no longer accept televisions\, computer monitors\, or other small appliances with electrical components.\n\nThe Village of Middlefield Service Department and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages\, out buildings or in the driveway.  Items will be placed at the curb for pickup on the normally scheduled trash day on August 16th. \nLimit to 10 household items per home Please. \nFor more information or to register for the pick-up\, call the Geauga County Department on Aging weekdays from 8:00AM until 4:30PM at (440) 279-2130.
