2026 Claridon Township Senior Trash Pick-Up
Attention Claridon Township and Aquilla Village Seniors
Claridon Township has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Days
The Claridon Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for 2026 Claridon and Aquilla Village Senior Trash Pick-Up Days on May 13.
Please have items outside home or garage by the evening of May 12, the evening before the pick-ups.
Sign Up Is EASY-HERE’S HOW: First, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by May 6 or earlier. Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older, live in Claridon Township or Aquilla Village and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026.
- What Claridon Twp. will take: Appliances (refrigerators will be accepted without Freon), car batteries, lawn mowers, and up to 4 passenger tires off the rim, wood, pipe or other large items should be Reduced to 8’ or less lengths. Small items must be bagged, boxed, or bundled – no LOOSE materials will be collected. Please note the following guidelines: To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest), all mattresses, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely, or they will not be taken.
What Claridon Twp. won’t take: liquids, paint, or other hazardous materials, construction/remodeling debris, rocks, yard waste, or household garbage. Residents are reminded that newspapers, magazines and cardboard are recyclable. Separate them out for recycling at a later date. Residents are also asked not to bring items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.
The Claridon Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages, out buildings or in the driveway. Please DO NOT leave items by curbside.
