Attention Thompson Township Seniors
Thompson Township has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Days
The Thompson Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2026 Thompson Senior Trash Pick-Up Day May 15 (Friday).
Please have items outside home or garage on Thursday, May 14, the evening before the pick-up.
Sign Up Is EASY-HERE’S HOW: First, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by May 8, or earlier. Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older, live in Thompson Township and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026.
What Thompson Twp. won’t take: liquids, paint, or other hazardous materials, construction/remodeling debris, rocks, yard waste, or household garbage. No refrigerators or freezers. Residents are reminded that newspapers, magazines and cardboard are recyclable and can be taken to the recycle containers located at the Thompson Road Garage. Separate them out for recycling at a later date. Residents are also asked not to put out items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.
The Thompson Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages, out buildings or in the driveway. Please DO NOT leave items by roadside. Thompson trash pickup is grant funded from Geauga Trumbull Solid Waste.
Limit to 10 household items per home Please.
