  • What Newbury Twp. will take: Metal items, appliances, empty oil tanks, televisions, and electronic equipment. All materials should be consolidated in strong boxes and items should be kept dry (tarped) if possible.  Small items must be bagged, boxed, or bundled – no LOOSE materials will be collected.  Lumber must be bundled and tied in lengths less than 10 feet, and metal pipes shall be no longer than 10 feet.   Please note the following guidelines: To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest), all mattresses, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely, or they will not be taken.

What Newbury Twp. won’t take: liquids, paints, antifreeze, or motor oil, hazardous materials, rocks, tree trunks, or household garbage. Residents are reminded that newspapers, magazines and cardboard are recyclable and can be taken by residents to one of the many local recycling drop off locations. Residents are also asked not to place items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.

The Newbury Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages, out buildings or in the driveway.  Please DO NOT leave items by curbside.

Limit to 10 household items per home Please.
