2026 Parkman Township Senior Trash Pick-Up
Attention Parkman Seniors
Parkman Township has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Days
The Parkman Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2026 Parkman Senior Trash Pick-Up Days June 25 and 26.
Please have items outside home or garage on Wednesday, June 24, the evening before the pick-up.
Sign Up Is EASY-HERE’S HOW: First, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by June 17 or earlier. Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older, live in Parkman Township and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026.
- What Parkman Twp. will take: Refrigerators dehumidifiers, and window air conditioners with Freon, car batteries, lawn mowers, tires on or off the rim – 4 per load and appliances, wood, pipe or other large items should be reduced to 6’ or less lengths. Consolidate all small materials in strong boxes or containers. Please note the following guidelines: To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest), all mattresses, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely or they will not be taken.
- What Parkman Twp. won’t take: Construction/remodeling debris, liquids, paint or other hazardous materials, rocks, yard waste, or household garbage. Residents are reminded that newspapers, magazines and cardboard are recyclable. Separate them out for recycling. Residents are also asked not to bring items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.
The Parkman Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside garages, out buildings or in the driveway. Please DO NOT leave items by curbside.
