Attention Auburn Seniors

Auburn Township has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Days

 The Auburn Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2026 Auburn Senior Trash Pick-Up Days

June 4 and 5.  Sign up cut off is limited to the first 100 seniors!

Please have items outside home or garage Wednesday, June 3 the evening before the pick-up.

Sign Up Is EASY-HERE’S HOW:  First, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by May 28 or earlier.  Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older, live in Auburn Township and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026.

  • What Auburn Twp. will take: car batteries (not leaking), lawn mowers, and passenger car tires on the rim – maximum 4 tires, appliances and other unwanted items. Please note the following guidelines: To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest), all mattresses, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely or they will not be taken. Please consolidate all small materials in strong boxes or containers.

 What Auburn Twp. won’t take: liquids, paint, or other hazardous materials, construction/remodeling debris, rocks, yard waste, household garbage, propane tanks. Residents are reminded that newspapers, magazines and cardboard are recyclable. Separate them out for recycling at a later date. Residents are also asked not to bring items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.

The Auburn Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garages, out buildings or in the driveway.  Please DO NOT leave items by curbside.

Limit to 10 household items per home Please.
