2026 Hambden Senior Trash Pick-Up

Attention Hambden Township Seniors

Hambden Township has scheduled their Senior Trash Pick-up Days

The Hambden Township Trustees are joining forces with the Geauga County Department on Aging for the 2026 Hambden Senior Trash Pick-Up Days

April 20-22.

Please have items outside home or garage April 19, the evening before the pick-up.

Sign Up Is EASY-HERE’S HOW:  First, register and complete the trash pick-up intake with the Geauga County Department on Aging at 440-279-2130 by April 13, or earlier.  Please note, to receive trash pick-up assistance, you must be 60 years of age or older, live in Hambden Township and be registered with the Department on Aging for 2026.

• What Hambden Twp. will take: unbroken batteries, tires off rim only (size LT or smaller) limit of 8 per household, appliances (washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, propane tanks, televisions, computer monitors, or other small appliances, old furniture, mattresses and other unwanted items). Small items must be bagged, boxed, or bundled – no LOOSE materials will be collected. Lumber must be bundled and tied in lengths less than 6 feet, and metal pipes shall be no longer than 6 feet. Please note the following guidelines: To prevent possible bed bug transferal (or other pest), all mattresses, couches and upholstered furniture MUST be wrapped in plastic and taped securely, or they will not be taken.
• What Hambden Twp. won’t take: All mattresses or furniture if not wrapped, no liquid paint or other hazardous chemicals, no household trash, no fluorescent bulbs, Lawnmowers must have tires removed, no items with a title, Tires- only sizes LT or smaller that are not mounted on rims with a Limit of 8 per household. Separate them out for recycling at a later date. Residents are also asked not to put out items that can easily be disposed of in the resident’s weekly curbside pickup.

The Hambden Township Road Crew and the Department on Aging cannot enter homes. All refuse items must be outside by garage, out building or in the driveway.  Please DO NOT leave items by curbside.

Limit to 10 household items per home Please.
